Turquoise and Twill is the online presence for my basket-weaving operation, begun in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA, during my time in grad school. I have been weaving baskets for over 15 years and selling them at local craft fairs since 2011, but my Etsy shop, TurquoiseAndTwill, opened in 2015. Since then I've worked on growing my inventory, building my social media presence (check out Turquoise and Twill on Facebook and Pinterest), and designing new baskets and patterns.
Where I get my supplies: The Country Seat, Inc., a store in Kempton, PA, that offers a complete line of basketry, gourd weaving, and seating supplies. Check out their website if you're interested in purchasing your own supplies to make baskets! There are many other basket-supply retailers that sell online, but I've been ordering from The Country Seat since 2007 and have only had great experiences with them.
